Bruins with Brushes: “Lily Queen”

This week marks the first of The Bear Facts’ new feature: Bruins with Brushes. St. Joe is home to a wonderful fine arts department, and art from pottery and visual arts classes will be featured every few weeks.
Our first featured piece is senior Augusta Hirn’s “Lily Queen.” This piece is done in acrylic paint on canvas.
Hirn has participated in art classes all through high school, and is currently in Art 4.
“I actually did incorporate my face into the picture because I needed a reference photo, so I used myself as a reference,” said Hirn.
