This past Friday, the St. Joe Bruins loss to the Velma Jackson Falcons, bringing the Bruins to a 2-2 season. Despite efforts, the Bruins were blown out by the Falcons with a 0-28 score on the Bill Raphael Field.

The Bruin offense struggled to gain yardage throughout the entire game. Players like quarterback Chris Watson and runningback Kevin May were met with a tough Falcon defense. However, the Bruin defense proved to give the Falcons, 2-0, a tough time. Senior Josh Briscoe, who plays defensive end, made big plays consistently during the game. Briscoe has been on the team for four years now and has proven himself to be a true leader on the field.

Although the team is saddened by their loss, they see a win in their future when it comes to the game on Friday, October 2nd against the McAdams Bulldogs in McAdams, MS. The Bulldogs are new to the schedule, but the Bruins feel that they have the upper hand.
