The St. Joe Bruins varsity football team loss a close game to the McAdams Bulldogs last Friday, which officially brought their season record to 3-2.

Friday’s game had a troubling start for the Bruins, when the Bulldogs scored two touchdowns on the first opening drives of the cold night. However, St. Joe’s defense shifted into gear and held a tight grasp on McAdams’ offense. The Bruins would later scored two touchdowns in the fourth quarter, leaving themselves in a one point deficit.

With a minute in the clock, the Bruins had the decision to either tie the game with a field goal or put themselves in the lead with a two point conversion. The Bruins went for the two points, but fell short and ended the game with a score of 13-14.

Following their loss, the team has begun to prepare for the Pisgah Dragons. The game was originally scheduled for Friday, but was moved to Thursday October 8 due to weather conditions.
