Third Quarter Overview

Abby Stringer, Staff Writer

The second semester at St. Joe has just begun, and the third quarter of the 2022-2023 school year is in full swing. In this third quarter, we will be just a busy as ever, with the basketball and soccer seasons still going, the baseball season starting soon, tryouts for the track team coming up, the St. Joe Draw Down quickly approaching, rehearsals for the spring play, Footloose, in progress, Catholic Schools Week, and so much more. Teachers and students alike are excited for the fresh start of a new semester, and hope to grow to accomplish more in 2023 academically, athletically and spiritually.

Preparations for the spring production, Footloose, are already underway. Cast lists are posted and rehearsals are underway. The musical, headed by Leslie Ann Harkins, St. Joe’s theatre department director, is expected to be a big hit and is set for April 14-16. Mark your calendar and be sure to come out and support our Bruins.

The annual St. Joe Draw Down is almost here. The adult-only event will be held on January 29 at the Jackson Country Club. This major fundraiser has funded many major modifications on the campus of St. Joe in the past, and it is sure to do so again this year. Please consider attending the Drawdown. We strongly appreciate all of your support.

We have high hopes for this third quarter and second semester of the school year at St. Joe. Please visit the Bruin News Now YouTube channel for regular weekly episodes released on Friday mornings, as well as the Bruin News Now Midweek Paws, released every Wednesday morning.
