The Bear Facts

Bianca McCarty, a junior at St. Joseph Catholic School, is co-editor of The Bear Facts, alongside Leah Clark. McCarty served as a staff writer during her ninth grade year until she was promoted to assistant editor, during her sophomore year.

McCarty received the first place award from MSPA for in depth reporting in 2016 while in seventh grade.

In the spring of 2019, McCarty assisted the conversion of The Bear Facts from a print publication to a 100 percent digital online-only publication. Besides working for The Bear Facts, McCarty is also a part of the Spirit Steppers, a member of the Retreat Team, and the scribe on the BruinTHON Committee.

You can contact her at [email protected].
